DAY 1 CARDIFF – BRECON BEACONS
We set off from our meeting point in search of the Wales of old before gaining our first glimpse in the National History Museum of Wales at St Fagans followed by a stop via Caerleon to visit the Roman Fortress and Baths. After a fascinating visit, we point our compasses north and take a route through the dramatic Welsh Valleys. If that isn’t enough remarkable scenery for one day, we reach the Brecon Beacons National Park and our beautiful base for the next two nights. (D)

DAY 2 BRECON BEACONS – WYE VALLEY – BRECON BEACONS
Centuries of history have left their mark on this remarkable landscape. First, we visit the Big Pit National Coal Museum before we travel through the spellbinding scenery that winds through the Wye Valley before we come to the hauntingly beautiful ruins of Tintern Abbey, followed by a wine tasting nearby. Out of the valley we find ourselves at an award-winning vineyard, which brings us to the end of a busy day. (B)

DAY 3 BRECON BEACONS - LLANGOLLEN - CONWY
Our journey takes us further north along the border regions of mid Wales. We reach Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the longest and highest structure of its kind and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, we enjoy an afternoon tea together. By evening, we’ll have taken in staggering architecture, so it’s only right we add traditional Welsh culture to the mix. Tonight a Welsh male voice choir treats us to a performance in Llandudno. Then it’s on to our Conwy hotel, where we stay for the next three nights. (B)

DAY 4 CONWY
After an eventful few days, today is all about you with free time to explore Conwy. (B)

DAY 5 CONWY– CAERNARFON CASTLE – NANT GWRTHEYRN – CONWY
We turn west today and make for the Llanberis Slate Mine, Caernarfon Castle, once a royal palace built for Edward I before we head to Nant Gwrtheyrn, home to the fascinating Welsh Language Heritage Centre located in a former quarrying village. We don’t just stretch our legs when we get here, we flex our language skills with a lesson in tongue-twisting Welsh pronunciation. Practise your new-found skills at dinner tonight. (B,D)

DAY 6 CONWY – DEVIL'S BRIDGE – TREGARON
Rise and shine, we’ve got a handful of sights to tick off today. Our first stop whisks us away to the home of famous Welsh poet, Hedd Wyn and onwards to the Devil's Bridge – a world famous attraction and home to stunning waterfalls and a steam train experience. Later, enjoy a private tour of the first Welsh book shop and meet the owner. After an exciting day, enjoy dinner in Tregaron together. (B,D)

DAY 7 TREGARON – PEMBROKESHIRE
On the cards for today offers a visit to a Welsh gold centre, a visit to the Cenarth Coracle Centre and stop at the majestic Castell Henllys before we land in Pembrokeshire – an elegant country estate. Don your best outfit as we meet one last time for dinner together. (B,D)

DAY 8 PEMBROKESHIRE – KILGETTY – CARDIFF
We finish our adventure by voyaging along the west coast to meet with the Lovespoon Workshop in Kilgetty. After our visit, there’s time to pick up some final souvenirs before we return to Cardiff and say farewell to the group. (B)
